【記者謝政儒台北報導】電子支付議題正熱，智慧穿戴裝置加入佈局，Garmin於今(19)日宣布結盟iPASS一卡通，正式跨足電子支付市場，推出全台首款擁有活動心率監測及電子票證消費查詢功能的「vívosmart HR 行動支付心率手環」。
據IDC調查，至2020年智慧穿戴銷售將突破四億大關，聯網物件也將出現爆炸性成長，Garmin亞洲區副總經理王正偉表示：「Garmin一直以來，以全球前瞻性的視野、GPS的技術優勢積極發展各項產業布局，自2003年起布局智慧穿戴市場，至今已穩坐全球前五大品牌，我們觀察台灣消費者對行動支付需求已逐漸明朗，因此與一卡通有此次合作，也期待雙方能共同帶動穿戴支付趨勢的普及。」
配合交通部多卡通政策，七月初北高捷運全閘門開通，全台食、衣、住、行、育、樂等小額支付通路也將陸續整合，提及與Garmin合作契機，一卡通票證公司董事長 施勝耀表示：「台灣2015年電子支付僅佔台灣個人消費支出的26%，未來配合金管會電子支付普及策略及交通部多卡通政策，將有更大成長空間，一卡通積極與不同金融工具合作串接，希望藉由與台灣穿戴裝置龍頭Garmin的合作，提供消費者在全台兩萬多個一卡通消費站點有更智慧、便利的支付工具選擇，創造一卡通、Garmin、消費者的三贏局面！」(自立晚報20160719)
